In the day-to-day school routine, the children experience a varied mix of periods of concentration and relaxation. Lessons alternate with school clubs, break times and lunchtime. School clubs are leisure activities that take place between lessons and are organised by the teaching staff.

Each year group has a set number of these sessions each week. In the clubs, the teaching staff respond to the children’s wishes, ideas and suggestions and build on them. This can lead to entertaining projects and activities, some short-term and others long-term.

Wednesday afternoons are a special feature. On this day, all children (P5–S3) have a joint School Club session after lunch. On this afternoon, projects and open activities are also offered by the teaching staff – sometimes in collaboration with external partners.

In addition, older pupils can take part in extracurricular groups during the lunch break (13:15–14:30) on various days of the week.
