What does Europe mean to you? For me, Europe means diversity, openness, community and freedom, getting to know different cultures and traditions -
thinking outside the box and being interested in each other. What I appreciate about Europe is the diversity of cultures and traditions and I enjoy getting to know new cultures and traditions -
be it through my travels or through teaching at a European school.

What does Europe mean to you? For me, Europe is a symbol of peace and cooperation, especially at a time when these values cannot be taken for granted. As a teacher, I particularly appreciate that Europe is an area where differences are not only accepted, but celebrated. This diversity is a great enrichment for society, and it opens up the opportunity to look beyond one's own horizons. What I particularly appreciate about Europe's cultural diversity is the incredible range of traditions, languages and ways of life that differ from country to country and are often deeply rooted in history.

In terms of Europe's cultural diversity, the annual selection of European Capitals of Culture by the European Union is a beacon project for me, in which the selected cities have the opportunity to present themselves and the surrounding regions to the world public.
Fun fact: My friends and family are starting to feel a bit annoyed because they have to bring me a magnet from every place in the world, which then finds its place on my fridge :-D
