The school day in secondary education follows a standard timetable for all year groups from P5 to S7. It begins at 8.00 am and comprises eight 45-minute lessons. In addition to short breaks between lessons, there is a long break in the morning and a lunch break; regular lessons end by 4.00 pm at the latest.
